Q-Is your company licensed and bonded?
A-At EPA we are a licensed propietorship however due to geographic and jurisdictional issues we have to work directly with Special Agents that are licensed, insured and bonded. For example when we have a client who wants EPA to provide Protection and accompny him/her on a flight from Greenwich Ct. to JFK and then to Israel we will make sure that when the client arrives our contact on the ground has all pertinent credentials, i.e. up to date passport, licensed, insured and bonded from our EPA agent within Tel Aviv. Another perfect example is if a client wants us to do a surveillance detail on a subject from NY, we will make sure the client is working with an affiliate of EPA and is a Licensed Private Detective firm from New York State. Did you know that when travelling from Greenwich to Westchester County or NYC on an armed protective detail this requires our EP agent to be former or current Law Enforcement only. If the EP agent isnt Law Enforcement this is a felony! The pistol permit laws vary from state to state as well as from country to country. EPA is a lead generation affiliate service, we dont limit ourselves to ones states or countries jurisdiction. All of our affiliates are liscensed Security and Private Investigation companies, there are however over ten states throughout the US which are unregulated and you dont need an actual PI license. Once we determine what the clients needs are the actual work is conducted by state licensed companies. In order for an investigators or security professionals work to stick in the court of law one must be a legitimate operation.
Q-Do you have a list of satisfied customers?
A-We have a tremendous amount of data from satisfied clients throughout the globe however due to the nature of our work, ie- confidentiality clauses etc.. we do not advertise with thier name and e-mail address. Some of our tracking methods come from former government agents who now work for PICs (Private Intel corporations). This makes life much easier since these Humint (human intel) and SMU (support of special mission or unit) operators are finally away from all of the bureaucracy they experienced in their former position. Recently an EPA affiliate was awarded a national investigation contract at a Fortune 10 company. Our affiliate also appeared in the national spotlight by appearing on World Business Review hosted by General Alexander Haig, this program was also viewed on CNBC, the topic covered was potential workplace violence issues. EPA has years of experience in corporate investigation. The easiest way to explain the difference between a PI (private investigator) and a corporate investigator is a PI typically would work outside a corporate enviroment where our EPA agents may do something called (TSCM) Technical Surveillance Counter Measures. This is a bug sweep or (electronic countersurveillance) in ones place of business to make sure you arent becoming a victim of Industrial Espionage. Trade secrets or competetive information is very important to protect these days. We will be happy to disclose any additional information to you in regard to a referral.
Q-I dont know about all of your big brother techniques, I am a privacy advocate and companies like yours remind me of what is bad about this country, how are you able to provide me so much private information anyway?
A-At EPA we look at life in a very simple way, we want to be able to provide information as well as to protect people from bad guys. Did you know that if it wasnt for Englands many cameras it would have been much harder for MI5 and MI6 to prevent the hijaking of up to 12 aircraft using liquid explosive in an attempt to take them all down in between England and the USA in Aug. 2006? This plot was just days away and it was real as it gets, this could have been as bad as 9-11. At EPA we have acess to proprietary data bases as well as public records, with high tech procedures such as Data Mining we can save you hundreds of hours worth of work, our proprietary data base also provides intel that is extremely helpful as well. We are not about being the Spy in the Sky so to speak, we are in the business of educating clients of potential threats and providing information, i.e.- (tracking down a debtor etc..) What seperates an EPA agent from some remote Web Detective company hiding behind a pc in a state which is unregulated is that we will sit down with you to address your concerns, human intel and face to face interaction makes a big difference when it comes to personal and private mattters. You dont have to be a wealthy executive to use our service, we have helped all walks of life and socio economic backrounds.
Q-Why is that your price is sometimes higher then other security companies?
A-Generally speaking the contract security industry from a stateside stand point is sub par. The reason for this is because clients get into bidding wars with 3 to 4 different firms before they sign a contract. Unfortunately more often then not the lowest bidder gets the contract. Why would a company or individual want the lowest bidder when it comes to something as important as security? This forces the security company to pay the "security guards" minimum wage. When one has a guard with limited or no training and similar motivation providing watch on our people, buildings, banks, private estates etc.. this poses a tremendous problem. Let us not forget our storage areas and facilities filled with chemical and biological components, would you want an ill equipped guard making the industry average of $9-$10 per hour guarding these invaluable resources? At EPA we hand pick our agents, many are Private Military Contractors that are home temporarily in between a 6 to 7 month deployment from overseas. Most of these men are all former military and Law Enforcement Agents from elite units with real world down range experience, i.e. (Swat, Navy Seals, USMC Force Recon and Scout Snipers, Army Rangers, SF, FBI HRT, Delta Force etc..) most of these these men are known as Tier 1 Operators. They allready possess top secret clearances and are vetted from top to bottom. These PMCs are typically making in excess of $200,000 from their state department contracts. It is safe to say that unfortunately right now most of our private security talent is overseas. They are really getting paid what they are worth, conducting business outside the wire in extremely high threat level areas from day to day. One will never forget in April 04 when 4 Blackwater Agents were ambushed and mutilated while driving through Fallujah during an ill advised supply mission. This scene was eerily reminiscent of Somalia back in 1993. The operators were not prepared and lacked a proper advance, they were undermanned without a rear gunner as well as adequate armor, not only that the insurgents were tipped off, they thought CIA was coming through. The company has since learned an invaluable lesson from this horrible tragedy. Generally speaking PMCs escort dignitaries and diplomats from point A to B in organized armor protected motorcades and convoys. These PMCs are considered civilians, they account for over 1/4 of all of the troops on the ground overseas, both in Iraq and Afaghanastan etc.. They get no heros welcome when they return home. The only thing they really get is an over zealous slanted pc media that try to expose them as contract killers or mercanaries, not only that they arent even considered among the KIAs if and when that time ever comes. They truely are Secret Agents. Recently Blackwaters Agents rescued American Missionaries who were stranded in Kenya and felt threatened by aggressive Swahilli Rebels. At EPA our goal is to try and keep that talent here, we must raise the bar of the private security business from a domestic standpoint. Contrary to what the media potrays many trained EPA agents dont stand out with intimidating bulging muscles, goatees and tattoos. They are quiet, low key and will fit very well into a Black Tie event. They will often look and talk very much like the executive they are protecting. Many are experienced intel gathers from being overseas so they move over to Private Investigation work with relative ease. Also if one is coming back from overseas there is a decrompression period. Operatives must be revetted for any PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) or TBI (traumatic brain injury) Stateside security is a completely different world from Iraq, right now it is very mellow in the USA. The simplest way to explain the difference between a bodyguard and an EPA Agent is a bodyguard is just that, a big body, typically without tactical firearm, cardio or hand to hand combat skills. We know what to do in any given situation, however we blend in with a tremendous amount of intelligence and decorum. We need our valuable agents to provide more Homeland Security dont we? Please dont feel that you cant afford us, give us a try, we will do our very best to work within your budget as we have many times allready with our clients who were pleasantly suprised by our affordable rates.
